I’ve finished up polishing an old essay and am pretty durned happy with it. I’d have to guess that in our era, most of us know something of this elusive Dutchman who for some reason only came upon our popular radar less than 50/ years ago. Whether you know anything about the man Hieronymus Bosch (there’s little to know) or not, the chances are you’ve seen and would easily recognize some of his work.

In this essay, I present a couple of new ideas as to why the man was buried without a history and why he disappeared from the annals of public art-history.
